The Vishwa Rang International Hindi Olympiad 2025, which will continue until September 30 in India and 65 countries worldwide on the occasion of Hindi Day, was inaugurated with grandeur by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Hansdhwani Auditorium, Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal. The event also featured the release of a poster during the “Bhartiya Matribhasha Anushthan” organized by the Department of Culture, Madhya Pradesh, marking the official commencement of the ceremony.
In his address, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the mother tongue carries spiritual and cultural energy. Just as the feet of the mother represent the four Dhams, the lap of one’s mother tongue represents a place of bliss. He expressed pride in the growing recognition and influence of the Hindi language globally.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Minister of Culture & Tourism (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Additional Chief Secretary Shivshekhar Shukla, Director of Vishwa Rang & Chancellor Rabindranath Tagore University Santosh Choubey, among others. The event was hosted by Vinay Upadhyay, Director of Tagore World Art & Culture Center.
Santosh Choubey, Director of Vishwa Rang, explained that the Olympiad is the largest cultural-educational initiative connecting participants who speak, read, and write Hindi in India and abroad. In India, students from Class 1 to postgraduate level can participate, while internationally, students from Level 1 to Level 6 are eligible. Participants will receive certificates, and winners will be awarded attractive prizes.
Thousands of Hindi literary figures, youth, and representatives from Hindi-related institutions participated in this grand event. The inauguration of the Vishwa Rang International Hindi Olympiad 2025 is considered a significant step in promoting the Hindi language globally and connecting the younger generation with Hindi.
