CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Newly appointed Madhya Pradesh Congress General Secretary Rekha Choudhary visited the Congress office, Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, and met with Congress members. She began her visit by paying floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. She also offered respects at the Gaur statue at Teen Batti and the Hanuman Temple. Moved by the warm welcome from the Congress family, Choudhary expressed her gratitude to everyone present.

As the newly appointed General Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, Rekha Choudhary arrived at the District City Congress office. She was warmly welcomed by senior leaders, with City Congress President Rajkumar Pachauri’s representative, Din Dayal Tiwari, presenting her with a traditional garland. Upon arrival, she first paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. Senior Congress leaders, council members, officials, and a large number of women adorned her with flower garlands, showing their respect and support.

Overwhelmed by the reception, Rekha Choudhary expressed her thanks and stated that after serving as District City Congress President for 12 years, she was grateful to State Congress President Jeetu Patwari and National General Secretary in charge, Jitendra Singh, for entrusting her with this significant responsibility. She emphasized her commitment to bringing Rahul Gandhi’s message of unity and harmony to the people, countering the divisions being created by the BJP.

Choudhary also spoke about her resolve to fight for the rights of women, marginalized communities, and vulnerable groups under the leadership of Jeetu Patwari, stating that safety and equality are at risk in the current state administration.

After the welcome event, Choudhary and other Congress members proceeded to Dr. Hari Singh Gour’s statue at Teen Batti amidst vibrant celebrations, including fireworks. She later visited the Dev Hanuman Temple, offering her prayers and tribute.

Many Congress officials and members attended the event, including former Municipal Corporation President Triloki Nath Katare, senior leaders Surendra Suhane, Purushottam Munna Choubey, former MLA Sunil Jain, and Youth Congress President Jitendra Chaudhary, among others, making the occasion a grand show of unity and support.
