CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The “Convocation-2025” orientation program for newly admitted students was enthusiastically organized at Rabindranath Tagore University. The purpose of this program was to familiarize new students with the university’s academic and co-curricular activities while equipping them with confidence and inspiration. The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a floral welcome. On this occasion, a special film about RNTU was also screened, providing detailed information about the university.

The chief guest of the program was Prof. Govardhan Das, Director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal. In his address, he highlighted the importance of higher education and advised students to make the best use of their time and actively participate in research and innovation. He encouraged students to transform challenges into opportunities and strive to bring positive change to society.
Special guest Aditi Chaturvedi Vats conveyed the message of continuous learning and the importance of adopting qualities such as discipline, patience, and teamwork. She described the university as a second home for students, where they would not only gain academic knowledge but also learn essential life skills.

Vice-Chancellor R. P. Dubey stated that the university provides limitless opportunities for education, research, sports, and innovation. He encouraged students to make full use of the available resources and serve society while upholding ethical values. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Sanjeev Kumar Gupta emphasized the importance of practical knowledge and active participation in social service alongside textbook learning. Meanwhile, Registrar Sangeeta Johri highlighted the university’s holistic development and advised students to adhere to discipline.
The program also included departmental introduction sessions, where the deans of Engineering, Management, Commerce, Humanities, Science, Agriculture, Medical Science, Law, Education, International Students Affairs, and Student Welfare introduced their respective departments. Students were provided information about examination rules, the National Education Policy (NEP), skill courses, research centers, and other academic initiatives.

Additionally, various projects prepared by university students were showcased for the newly admitted students. The convocation program will continue until August 14. Coordinators Prateek Nigam and co-coordinator Jitendra Ahir ensured the smooth execution of the event.
This convocation promises to be an inspiring beginning for the new students and will make them an integral part of the university family.
