CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies, Bhopal:

Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa is set to achieve a major milestone in the international music scene. He will become the first Indian artist to perform on the main stage of the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), to be held in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. Guru will share the stage with noted international DJ and music producer Steve Aoki on November 7. During the performance, the two will present the new remix of their popular song “Sirra” live for the first time.

EDC Orlando is being held from November 6 to 8 at Tinker Field. Steve Aoki will perform as a main artist on the second day of the festival. Guru Randhawa will join his set during the performance. Their collaboration will present a unique blend of Punjabi pop and electronic dance music.

Punjabi music to get a global platform

Guru Randhawa’s original song “Sirra” is part of his album “Without Prejudice”. Steve Aoki has reworked it in a new style with fast electronic beats and dance music. The remix has been released on major music streaming platforms.

Expressing happiness over the achievement, Guru Randhawa said representing India and Indian music on the EDC main stage is a matter of great honour for him. Steve Aoki said electronic music is a medium that connects different cultures, and that this collaboration with Guru has been a special experience for him.

Big Delhi concert after three years

After his EDC performance, Guru Randhawa will return to Indian audiences through “Sirra Era Live in Concert” at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on December 12. This will be his major live concert after nearly three years. Through the event, he will also celebrate his 13-year journey in the music world.
