CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special session on “Hackathon: Empowering Innovation for a Better Tomorrow” was organized at Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal, under the joint aegis of the Institution Innovation Council and the Department of Computer Science. On this occasion, the chief speaker was Mr. Gaurav Nema, Director, COO & CTO of Inobimb Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
Director Nema provided detailed guidance to the students on the importance of innovation, technical creativity, and teamwork. He explained that a hackathon is an innovation marathon. It is a form of creativity that emphasizes team collaboration, brainstorming, showcasing technology and creativity, mentor guidance, problem-solving challenges, and foresight. Expanding on his points, he stated that the field offers numerous career opportunities and diverse business models in the future. Innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions will play a major role. He also highlighted that while artificial intelligence (AI) should be utilized in processes, full dependency should be avoided. This ensures that individual critical thinking, creativity, and human perspective are preserved, increasing the likelihood of long-term success.
On this occasion, the college principal, Dr. Dalima Parwani, expressed her views, stating that innovation is the key to progress. Events like hackathons not only enrich students technically but also develop life skills such as problem-solving and teamwork. She noted that this session is an important step for students toward realizing future opportunities.
During the program, students enthusiastically participated and received solutions to various questions related to the topic. The college management congratulated Program Coordinator Prof. Sonia Sharma on the successful conduct of the session.
