In Sunday business on September 20, the film performed better than new releases Kunal Khemu’s “Vibe” and Kareena Kapoor’s “Daayra.”
Directed by Kunal Khemu, “Vibe” was released on September 18. The film collected around Rs 1.70 crore on its first day, Rs 2.75 crore on the second day and Rs 3 crore on the third day. Its total collection over three days was reported at around Rs 7.45 crore.
Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Daayra,” meanwhile, had a relatively slow start. The film earned around Rs 1 crore on its first day, Rs 1.75 crore on the second day and Rs 1.75 crore again on the third day. Its total business over three days stood at around Rs 4.50 crore.
“Hanuman Ansh” continues to draw audiences to theatres even in its seventh week. Amid the film’s steady earnings, it appears challenging for new films to retain screens and audience attention. These box-office figures are based on early reports and may change in the final numbers.
