New Delhi. Ahead of IPL 2027, discussions over Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya’s future have intensified. Amid this, former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made a major statement about a possible trade involving Hardik. Ashwin believes Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) could be a good option for Hardik, where he may also get the responsibility of captaincy.
Chance of captaincy at KKR: During a discussion on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said there are strong possibilities for Hardik at KKR. The team could consider making him captain. He also suggested names such as Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana and Rinku Singh under a possible trade. However, Ashwin acknowledged that it would not be easy to separate Varun from the team.

He also raised the possibility of a potential trade involving Rashid Khan from Gujarat Titans. Punjab Kings’ Azmatullah Omarzai was also mentioned in the discussion.
