CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: These days, kneaded dough is often stored in the fridge in most households to save time, and later used to make bread. However, did you know that this habit can have several negative effects on health?

According to experts, harmful substances like mycotoxins can thrive in dough stored in the fridge, which can cause issues such as acidity and stomach pain once ingested. Additionally, dough kept in the fridge for an extended period loses its freshness and essential nutrients.

Eating dough that has been stored in the fridge for a long time can also increase the risk of food poisoning, leading to problems like vomiting and diarrhea. If the dough has been stored for too long and its color has turned black or changed, it is a sign that it has spoiled. Making bread from such dough can be harmful to health.
