CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: HDFC Life has established an expedited claim settlement framework to provide timely financial assistance to policyholders and families affected by the devastating floods in Assam. The initiative comes as insurance regulators have urged insurers to fast-track claims arising from the recent floods, particularly in severely affected districts including Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Golaghat.
Under its customer-focused approach, HDFC Life has put in place measures aimed at simplifying claim intimation, documentation and processing for affected families. HDFC Life has also outlined special provisions for natural disasters and calamities, including flexibility in documentation requirements in specified circumstances.
The company's broader claims performance highlights its emphasis on faster settlements. HDFC Life reported an individual death claim settlement ratio of 99.72% for FY 2025-26, with an average settlement time of two days.
