CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, a cleanliness and health awareness program was organized by the Medical Social Welfare Unit at the Anganwadi Center in Barkheda Pathani, under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Ajay Singh. Fruits were also distributed as part of the initiative.

The primary objective of this program was to raise awareness about cleanliness and health among children and women. Prof. Singh stated, “Our goal is not only to promote cleanliness but also to raise awareness about the importance of a nutritious diet. Cleanliness and health are extremely important for our lives. We all need to understand that cleanliness is not just an individual responsibility, but it is part of the well-being of society and the community. Therefore, we must remain conscious of cleanliness and make it a part of our daily lives.”

During the program, children were informed about the importance of clean water and healthy food, and women present were educated on menstrual hygiene. The Medical Social Welfare Unit of AIIMS Bhopal distributed 200 hygiene kits and fruits. Additionally, cleanliness activities were carried out in various wards of AIIMS Bhopal under the cleanliness campaign. The nursing staff and other healthcare workers were taught how to clean surfaces to prevent the spread of infections. The importance of proper waste identification and disposal processes in the hospital was also explained. The women and children at the Anganwadi Center took a pledge to adopt cleanliness in their lives and expressed their gratitude to AIIMS Bhopal.
