CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Health Checkup and Ayushman Card Camp Organized at Lokayukta Office in Bhopal To provide medical facilities to employees and officers at their workplaces and facilitate the creation of Ayushman cards for parents or guardians aged 70+, a special camp was organized by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) at the Lokayukta Office in Bhopal.
The camp was coordinated by Aruna Gupta, Secretary of the Lokayukta Office. Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta, Durgesh Rathore encouraged all officers and employees to avail themselves of the camp’s benefits along with their family members. Health checkups were conducted for office staff and their relatives, while Ayushman cards were issued for family members over the age of 70.
During the camp, 26 senior citizens received Ayushman cards. A total of 77 people underwent health checkups, including free consultations and pathology tests. Additionally, ABHA IDs were created for the attendees.
CMHO Bhopal, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Lokayukta Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh for supporting the initiative. Senior citizens holding Ayushman cards are eligible for cashless treatment of up to ₹5 lakh. Those whose Aadhaar documents now reflect their age as 70 or above can upgrade to the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card for an additional ₹5 lakh in cashless treatment benefits.
Dr. Tiwari also highlighted that over 13,000 Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards have been issued in Bhopal district so far. Camps are regularly held at municipal ward offices for this purpose. Government departments and social organizations are actively contributing by raising awareness and assisting in the card issuance process.
