CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A divisional review meeting was held in the auditorium of the Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar Shukla to assess the development plans of Bhopal Division and ensure effective implementation of government policies.
The meeting was attended by legislators including Bhagwandas Sabnani (Southwest Bhopal), Prabhuram Choudhary (Sanchi), Suryaprakash Meena (Shamshabad), Mohan Sharma (Narsinghgarh), and Vishnu Khatri (Bairasia), while legislators from other districts joined via video conference. Bhopal District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, all Chief Executive Officers of the districts, and officers from the relevant departments were also present. Collectors of Rajgarh, Vidisha, Raisen, and Sehore participated through video conferencing.

Additional Chief Secretary Shukla conducted a detailed review of the progress of various departmental schemes, including health, education, public health engineering, the Nal-Jal (tap water) scheme, and the Jal Jeevan Mission, and issued instructions for their timely and effective implementation. He directed the collectors to ensure regular monitoring of health services, schools, and Anganwadi centers, and to take immediate action in case of any deficiencies or irregularities.
While reviewing construction work under the Amrit-2.0 scheme, he instructed officials to maintain roads promptly after project completion and to develop multi-purpose development projects in the outskirts of cities to ensure planned urban growth. Quick resolution of public health engineering issues, regular review of officers with dual responsibilities, and prompt transfer of land acquired for dams were also discussed during the meeting.
Considering the summer season, instructions were given to complete group drinking water schemes on time, ensure sufficient water supply to citizens, and maintain continuous coordination with public representatives. Shukla emphasized that no compromise will be acceptable regarding the quality or timelines of development works, and delivering the benefits of government welfare schemes to the last person in society remains the highest priority.
