CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Swathya Bharat (Registered Trust), which plays a leading role in health advocacy, is organizing a three-day Health Parliament in Ramnagar Ayodhya, starting on July 19, 2024. This event will be held on the premises of Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology in Ayodhya. There will be in-depth discussions on various dimensions of health. The theme of this year’s Health Parliament is “India’s Health and Dietary Traditions in Amrit Kaal.”
Inauguration Session
On July 19, the inauguration session will feature prominent figures including the Millets Man of India, Padma Shri Khadar Valli, Uttar Pradesh’s Agriculture Minister Suryapratap Shahi, former Rajya Sabha MP R.K. Sinha, Padma Shri Rambhadur Rai, spiritual guru Prof. Pawan Sinha, Sant Gyaneshwari Didi, NDU VC and Health Parliament Chairman Dr. Bijendra Singh, senior journalist and Health Parliament (Dr.) Upendra Ayodhya, and Swathya Bharat’s Chairman Ashutosh Kumar Singh, along with many renowned health thinkers, physicians, and journalists. A special session before the inauguration will discuss “Health, Psychology, and Solutions for the Elderly in India.”
Ram Sandhya
On the first evening, a musical Ram Sandhya will be organized, featuring Bollywood singer and musician Saroj Suman, classical singer Sumita Dutta, film actor and singer Amarendra Sharma, and folk singer Rakesh Srivastava. They will captivate the audience with their singing, while Kathak dancer Durgeshwari Singh will present a dance performance.
Policy Sessions
On the second day, July 20, there will be six policy sessions. Speakers include Padma Shri Khadar Valli, Dr. Mahesh Vyas, Dean of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi; Dr. Uma Kumar, Head of the Rheumatology Department at AIIMS, New Delhi; Dr. Ashok Kumar Varshney, Organization Secretary of Arogya Bharati; renowned science communicator Dr. Manoj Kumar Patairia; Golok Bihari Rai, National General Secretary of the National Security Awareness Forum; renowned farmer Dr. Rajaram Tripathi; Dr. Rajesh Srivastava, Director of the Ramayana Centre, Bhopal; and scholars from Acharya Narendra Deva University, among many other intellectuals. Additionally, experts will deliver lectures on topics such as the Indian health ecosystem in the AI era, the role of AYUSH in building a healthy India, the role of media in health awareness, and the foundation of healthy farming and nutrition.
