CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: CII-YI Bhopal concluded its flagship two-day national event, “Yi Yuva Future 4.0,” focused on “Health” and “Road Safety.” This unique platform brought together young students from 70 major cities across India, where they presented innovative ideas and solutions on these critical topics.
During the program, students showcased their research-based plans, which will eventually be submitted to the Government of India as part of a national policy formation effort. This event further emphasized CII-Young Indians (Yi)’s commitment to empowering young voices on a national level.
Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra (IPS) attended as the chief guest. Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar and Sanjay Kumar Singh (IPS) inaugurated the day and highlighted the objectives of the event. The jury panel included JP Agarwal, Deepti Singhal, Shweta Kataria, Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi, Vijay David, and Kritika Sethia.
Dr. Priya emphasized the growing threat of screen addiction among youth and children, discussing its negative impact on mental and physical health and, according to some studies, on male fertility as well. She stressed the importance of preparing young people to tackle these issues effectively. Chief guest Mr. Mishra praised the Yi platform for offering opportunities to raise awareness and influence change on such crucial issues within society.
Through this National Youth Summit 2024, CII-YI will prepare a comprehensive study and present a national document with recommendations for solutions and collaboration, which will be submitted to central authorities.
The second day of the summit began with an Employability Summit, where industry experts discussed the future job market and challenges for young people. Prominent industry leaders participated in panel discussions, offering students valuable tips for success. In the closing session, Gurugram and Dehradun were announced as winners, while Siliguri and Bhavnagar were recognized as runners-up.
