CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the special occasion of Mother’s Day, an innovative and health-conscious initiative was witnessed at the ‘Chai Kaapi’ café in Bawadiyakalan. A ‘Healthy Millet Brownie Workshop’ was organized by home baker and founder of Mindful Bakes by K, Kamaldeep Kaur. The three-hour workshop taught participants how to make delicious, healthy, and guilt-free brownies.

Nutritious Brownies

The highlight of the workshop was the Millet Dark Chocolate Brownie, made using sorghum flour (jowar) and organic whole wheat flour — with no refined flour or sugar. This healthy base was presented in several creative variations:

Classic Chocolate Brownie

Choco Chip Brownie

Cookie Kiddo Brownie

Oreo Brownie

Walnut Brownie

Cheesecake Brownie

Hands-On, Heart-Made

The workshop was entirely hands-on, allowing participants to prepare the brownies themselves and taste them fresh. All ingredients were provided by the organizers, making the experience both smooth and highly creative.

Flavor and Learning Combined

More than just a baking class, it was an educational session. Kamaldeep shared insights into brownie textures, ingredient ratios, and the science behind baking techniques. Especially inspiring for those looking to make healthier desserts for kids and families, the session offered valuable knowledge along with sweet treats.

A Sweet Ending with Sweet Memories

The workshop concluded with a tasting session and distribution of certificates. Participants appreciated the flavors of millet-based brownies and praised the refined- and preservative-free baking approach. Many expressed interest in attending similar healthy baking workshops in the future.
