CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Ravindranath Tagore University recently organised heartfelt farewell ceremonies for final-year students across various departments under Horizon 2K26. As part of this, the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication jointly held a special farewell programme for the Session 2026 batch. Students, teachers and juniors participated enthusiastically and shared memorable moments. The programme began with garlanding the idol of Maa Saraswati and lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Colourful cultural performances and emotional moments made the समारोह memorable. Junior students presented vibrant performances in honour of their seniors. Group dances, songs, mimicry, entertaining acts and emotional presentations filled the atmosphere with joy and sentiment. The most special moment came when students presented poems and songs dedicated to their beloved mentor and Assistant Professor Yogesh Patel.

Students also presented Yogesh Patel with a specially hand-made pencil sketch, making the event even more emotional. A special video presentation based on the past three years of classes, media practicals, studio activities and university events revived old memories for both students and teachers.

Addressing the students, Ruchi Mishra Tiwari, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts, said, "A university is not merely a place to obtain a degree, but a strong laboratory for personality development. The students who leave here should work to give a new direction to society through their knowledge, moral values and positive thinking."

Head of Department Anjali Tiwari said, "This Session 2026 batch will always be remembered for its creativity, discipline, team spirit and active participation in every activity. The department is proud of its students."

Students' mentor and Assistant Professor Yogesh Patel said, "This journey with these students was not limited only to teaching, but transformed into an emotional bond. The trust, affection and respect of students are a teacher's greatest achievement."

During the programme, students came on stage and shared their experiences. They described classroom memories, studio practicals, events and teachers' guidance as an important part of their lives. The students said the department had given them not only education, but also self-confidence and inspiration to move forward in life.

At the end of the programme, all departing students were presented with mementoes, and the beautiful moments were preserved through a group photograph.
