CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal addressed a program organized by the Mahar Samaj Sangathan at the Dushyant Kumar Manuscript Museum in Bhopal, stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the center and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in the state, the BJP government is working continuously for the upliftment of every section of society with the goals of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas”. He added that the Mahar community’s contribution in promoting education and serving the nation is extremely significant, and he congratulated all community members for this innovative event.
Baba Saheb provided protection, not just reservation
Paying homage to Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal said that Babasaheb gave the nation not only reservation but also protection, which is essential for an equitable and strong democracy. He emphasized that democracy in any country can only be strong when social inequalities are eliminated. If one section of society advances while another lags behind, we cannot imagine the strong nation we aspire to build. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision was that every section of society should have equal opportunities, the ability to work, and progress together. He noted that Babasaheb’s initiative was not merely a constitutional provision, but a strong foundation for social justice, without which it would be impossible to provide equal opportunities for progress in a diverse country like India.
Education is the key weapon of the Mahar community
Hemant Khandelwal further stated that in a country like India, any community can only advance if education is its primary weapon. He praised the Mahar community for being pioneering in education, noting that many senior officials in Bhopal today come from the Mahar community because of the emphasis on education. He also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the establishment of a 660 MW unit in Sarni, Betul, describing it as a milestone for employment opportunities.
The program was attended by State Media In-Charge Ashish Usha Agrawal, MLA Yogesh Pandagre, and other prominent members of the community.
