CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal / maharashtra :The Maharashtra Revenue Department has adopted high-tech measures to improve transparency and efficiency. In a major move, all employees must now mark attendance using a Face App integrated with a geo-fencing system, ensuring attendance is registered only within office premises.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule stated that employees who fail to register on the app will not receive their August salary. A government resolution (GR) is expected to be released soon to formalize this directive.
This decision follows central government guidelines promoting digital accountability in public service. The minister emphasized that this step aims to enhance public service delivery, ensure transparency, and streamline departmental functioning.
Minister Bawankule further said, “We are reviewing various departments to simplify operations. In Raigad district, revenue-related tasks were examined and instructions have been issued to complete all pending work within 150 days.”
He also directed that no quasi-judicial revenue cases should remain pending for long, highlighting the push for timely grievance redressal.
