CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the Amedia Enterprises LLP case linked to government land at Mundhwa in Pune, the Bombay High Court has questioned the investigation over Parth Pawar not being named as an accused. During the hearing on October 1, 2026, a single bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar, commenting on the affidavit of the investigating officer, asked why the person holding a 99 per cent stake in the company was not held responsible in the investigation, while the person holding a one per cent stake had been made an accused.
The court also asked who would have benefited if the deal for 40 acres of government land had succeeded. During the hearing, the government side said it was an LLP and the benefit would have gone to the company. The court then asked whether the person holding a 99 per cent stake in the company would not benefit, or whether only the person holding a one per cent stake would benefit.
The court also heard the anticipatory bail plea of Pune’s suspended tehsildar Suryakant Yewale in the case. Noting that there was no specific allegation against him of issuing an order to provide illegal benefit to any person, the court granted him anticipatory bail. Maharashtra’s Director General of Police told the court that Pune Police would conduct further investigation in the matter in a detailed and professional manner.
Earlier in September, the High Court had also asked the police to explain why Parth Pawar had not been made an accused. The case concerns an ongoing investigation into the alleged low-price deal by Amedia Enterprises LLP for 40 acres of government land in Pune’s Mundhwa area.
