CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : At the ministry’s conference room, the Higher Education Department held a meeting to conduct a detailed review of various departmental activities and the implementation of ongoing work.
During the meeting, instructions were issued to provide a final opportunity for guest faculty members, whose postings or transfers as Assistant Professors selected by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) were affected, to submit their preferences separately. Cases of guest faculty who had marked attendance on the Sarthak Portal without authorization were also considered, and it was instructed that such cases be resolved promptly, with a commitment from the concerned individuals to avoid recurrence.
The meeting also directed the rapid completion of the appointment process for Assistant Professors selected by the MPPSC. Detailed discussions were held regarding the transition from single-faculty to multi-faculty colleges and from undergraduate to postgraduate programs, and necessary instructions were provided. Regarding student attendance, officials were instructed to implement a plan to prepare a “Student Performance Index.” Extensive discussions were also held on curbing cheating, making the examination system transparent through digital evaluation, and various issues related to law colleges and other subjects, followed by the issuance of required guidelines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Anupam Rajan; Commissioner, Higher Education, Prabal Sipaha; and other departmental officers.
