CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Kerala Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the HiLITE Cyber Tower at Cyberpark in Kozhikode, marking the start of a major information technology infrastructure project in the Malabar region.
The project, developed by HiLITE Group, will come up on 2.5 acres with a built-up area of around 9 lakh square feet. The Grade-A commercial development represents an investment of approximately ₹600 crore and is planned as an IT hub for multinational companies, start-ups and research and development centres.
According to the project announcement, HiLITE Cyber Tower is expected to generate more than 10,000 direct IT employment opportunities. The development is part of HiLITE Group’s broader plan to expand its office-space portfolio and strengthen Kozhikode’s position as an emerging technology and business destination.
Chief Minister Satheesan said the state government is focusing on advanced technologies and innovation and would support projects that contribute to investment, employment and development. He also highlighted the potential of Kozhikode to emerge as a major IT destination alongside Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
Minister for Industries, IT and AI P. K. Kunhalikutty described the project as a significant investment in Malabar’s technology infrastructure. He said the tower is intended to attract multinational companies, high-growth start-ups and advanced R&D centres while contributing to the region’s socio-economic development.
HiLITE Group, headquartered in Kozhikode, operates across real estate, construction, retail, business parks, education, healthcare and other sectors. The company has been expanding its commercial and IT-focused developments in Kerala.
