CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Story writing, speech and quiz competitions were organised at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls College under Hindi Fortnight.
On the occasion, Principal Pratima Yadav said that while Hindi Fortnight is being observed, it is the responsibility of students to show respect for Hindi and contribute to its promotion by making its use natural in creative work and daily functioning, and by strengthening a sense of respect for the language.
Nisha Jain, in-charge of the Indian Knowledge Tradition, said all languages are rich. She said that if people respect their own language and take pride in speaking Hindi, the Hindi language will be respected in society and the country, and will establish its importance across the world.
In the programme, the story writing competition was judged by Aparna Badal, Monika Singh and Pallavi Pandey. The speech competition was judged by Neha Choudhary, Govind Mansure and Prachi Singh.
The quiz competition was conducted by Krishna Bihari, Monika Singh and Govind Mansuri. Special support for the programme was provided by Pragya Malviya. The programme was conducted by Deepa Sharma, an MA third-semester student.
In the story writing competition, Deepa Sharma secured first place, Anjali Gurjar second place and Divyanshi Litoria third place. In the speech competition, Deepa Sharma stood first, Jagriti Tiwari second, while Nikita Kushwaha, Divyanshi Likoria and Anjali Gurjar secured third place.
In the quiz competition, the students who secured positions included Deepa Sharma and Anjali Gurjar in first place, Nikita Tiwari and Pinky Imaliya in second place, and Divyanshi Litoria and Jagriti Tiwari in third place.
A large number of students and members of the college fraternity were present on the occasion.
