CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Story writing, speech and quiz competitions were organised with enthusiasm under Hindi Fortnight at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate College, Bhopal. Students of the college took part in large numbers.
On the occasion, college principal Dr. Pratima Yadav said, “We are certainly observing Hindi Fortnight, but for respect for Hindi and its promotion, it is the responsibility of students to make the use of Hindi natural in creative work and daily functioning, and to further strengthen the feeling of respect for Hindi.”
Dr. Nisha Jain, in-charge of the Indian Knowledge Tradition Cell, said all languages are rich in themselves. If people respect their own language and take pride in speaking Hindi, Hindi will receive respect in society and the country, and will also raise the flag of its importance across the world.
The jury for the story writing competition comprised Dr. Aparna Badal, Dr. Monika Singh and Dr. Pallavi Pandey.
The speech competition was judged by Dr. Neha Choudhary, Dr. Govind Mansure and Dr. Prachi Singh.
The quiz competition was organised by Dr. Krishna Bihari, Dr. Monika Singh and Dr. Govind Mansoori. Ms. Pragya Malviya provided special support for the programme.
The programme was conducted by Deepa Sharma, an M.A. third-semester student.
