CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A Hindi Fortnight is being organized at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) until September 29. As part of this, renowned storyteller Rajendra Dani read his famous story “Aaina” in the institution’s auditorium. The story highlights the importance of the elderly and their struggles. It also conveys that old age comes to everyone and that one should not hold the illusion of immortality. During the event, a story-reading competition and a translation competition were also organized. Rakesha Dubey Chaubey, Deputy Commissioner of the State GST Department, served as the judge for the translation competition. Mrs. Chaubey explained to the participants the necessity of the mother tongue and the importance of translation.

Various programs are being held at BMHRC as part of the Hindi Fortnight. A dictation competition is being organized for non-Hindi-speaking employees and students. A self-composed short story writing competition is being held to encourage people to write in Hindi. Additionally, a fancy dress competition related to Hindi literary figures will be conducted. The closing ceremony of the Hindi Fortnight will take place on September 30, with the Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Santosh Chaubey, as the chief guest. He will be honored with a literary award by BMHRC and will also felicitate the winners of the various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight.
