CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The ‘All Railway Hindi Quiz Competition-2026’ was successfully organised at the Coach Rehabilitation Workshop (CRWS), Nishatpura, Bhopal, with the objective of ensuring effective implementation of Official Language Hindi and increasing awareness about Hindi.
The competition was held in the workshop under the patronage of Chief Workshop Manager Prafull V. Kohade and under the guidance of Liaison Official Language Officer and Assistant Personnel Officer Sandeep Sharma.
Railway employees from various departments and shops of the workshop participated enthusiastically in the competition organised by the Official Language Department. The competition assessed participants’ knowledge related to Official Language Hindi, language and literature, the functioning of Indian Railways and current affairs. Participants gave an impressive display of their intellectual ability and competitive skills.
Liaison Official Language Officer Sandeep Sharma said the objective of the competition was to accelerate the effective implementation of the Government of India’s Official Language Policy and to encourage officers and employees to use Hindi in official work. He said this was the first such Hindi quiz competition organised at the workshop level, and it was conducted in a highly systematic and transparent manner in line with competitive examinations. Three separate question papers were prepared for the competition, and OMR-based answer sheets were used for responses.
He said participants securing first, second and third positions at the workshop level would get an opportunity to take part in the regional-level Hindi quiz competition to be organised at the West Central Railway headquarters. Participants performing well at the regional level will represent West Central Railway in the all-India-level Hindi quiz competition organised by the Railway Board.

During the competition, Prashant Narsinghpur, retired Assistant Works Manager, Coach Rehabilitation Workshop, Bhopal, served as the observer.
On the occasion, Chief Workshop Manager Prafull V. Kohade said in his message, “The sole objective of Hindi competitions is to create an atmosphere of healthy and knowledge-enhancing competition towards Official Language Hindi.” He said such events not only help in the knowledge and personality development of employees but also encourage the use of Hindi in government work.
He said such competitions develop a spirit of healthy intellectual competition among employees and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent on a larger platform. Appreciating all participants, he expressed confidence that the Coach Rehabilitation Workshop would continue to play a leading role not only in technical excellence but also in the effective implementation of Official Language Hindi.
At the end of the programme, all participants were extended best wishes for the upcoming regional and Railway Board-level competitions, and the commitment to using Official Language Hindi more extensively was reiterated.
