CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Shri Satya Sai Women’s College, Bhopal, which has been awarded an A+ grade by NAAC, the Hindi Department organized a poster competition and award ceremony under the “Hindi Vaibhav Exhibition” on the occasion of Hindi Day, focusing on the theme “Contribution of Hindi Literature to the Indian Knowledge Tradition.”

The chief guest of the event was senior litterateur and Director of the Saptavarni Arts and Literature Creation Research Center, Bhopal, Dr. Binay Shadangi Rajaram. The program commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana. The Hindi Vaibhav Exhibition at the department was formally inaugurated during the event. The exhibition showcased posters on the theme “Contribution of Hindi Literature to the Indian Knowledge Tradition” and included original sources of Indian knowledge, such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Valmiki Ramayana, Adhyatma Ramayan, Ramcharitmanas, Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Gita Rahasya, Srimad Bhagavat Puran, and other texts, allowing students to explore the roots of Indian intellectual tradition. The exhibition was organized with the support of the Indian Knowledge Tradition Cell, whose members were present at the inauguration.

The Hindi award ceremony began with a welcome speech by Head of the Hindi Department, Anupama Chauhan. Director Pratibha Singh welcomed the chief guest by presenting a sapling. Certificates were awarded to students who performed exceptionally in celebrations such as the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, Tulsidas Jayanti, Maithilisharan Gupta Jayanti, and the Hindi Vaibhav Exhibition poster competition.

As part of Hindi Day, the “Hindi Poetry Manuscript Competition” was also held. The first prize went to Surabhi Mesra, B.A.LL.B. Fifth Semester, for her manuscript Surabhita; second prize to Nidhi Katare, M.A. Hindi First Semester, for Mere Siyaram; and third prize to Nikki Kumari, B.Com First Year, for Man Ka Moti.

In the poster competition, Nidhi Katare (M.A. Hindi First Semester) won first prize, Kavita Kushwaha (M.A. Hindi First Semester) second prize, Roshni Sharma (M.A. Hindi First Semester) third prize, and Sunita Atude and Dipti Tigga (M.A. Hindi Third Semester) received encouragement awards.

In her address, Director Pratibha Singh emphasized that language is the vehicle of emotions, reaching directly into the heart. Creative expression requires continuous learning, and she congratulated all award-winning students.

Chief guest Dr. Binay Shadangi Rajaram stated that Hindi is our language of connection, expressing love, empathy, and culture. She noted that Hindi is currently the third most spoken language globally, but if all dialects in India fully integrate into Hindi, it could become first or at least second in the world. She congratulated students on their manuscript writing and poster presentations and offered suggestions to enhance their creative skills. Saraswati Vandana was presented by Krishna Vishwakarma, B.Sc. Second Year.

The program was successfully conducted by Nidhi Katare, M.A. First Semester, with a vote of thanks by Manisha Tripathi, Assistant Professor, Hindi Department. The event was attended by Director Pratibha Singh, Principal Archana Srivastava, Law Principal Anju Bajpai, Vice Principal Renu Mishra, along with all faculty and students. The workshop was efficiently organized under the guidance of Head of Department Anupama Chauhan, and Assistant Professors Manisha Tripathi, Anuradha Singh, and Anita Tiwari.
