A heavy rush of devotees is being seen for darshan at the famous Maa Annapurna temple in Varanasi. Devotees are having to wait in queues for nearly 33 hours to have darshan of the golden Maa. Large numbers of devotees from different parts of the country are reaching Kashi and seeking the Mother’s blessings.
The movement of devotees continues in the temple premises and surrounding areas. Despite the long queues, considerable enthusiasm is visible among the devotees. After waiting for hours, devotees are having darshan of Maa Annapurna’s golden form.
According to religious belief, Maa Annapurna is regarded as the goddess of food and prosperity. Darshan at the temple has special significance on the occasion of Diwali. For this reason, the number of devotees here rises significantly during the festival. The crowds of devotees in Kashi have created an atmosphere of devotion and celebration across the area.
