CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the leadership of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Ajay Singh, the Department of Pediatrics, in collaboration with the Bhopal Academy of Pediatrics and MPIAP, successfully organized the 18th Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Post Graduate Quiz Zonal Round.

The event was chaired by Professor Shikha Malik, Head of the Pediatrics Department. Teams from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana participated in the quiz. Central Zone Quiz Coordinator Mahesh Maheshwari welcomed the participants and guests and introduced the quiz format.

The competition was highly competitive, with GMC Hyderabad emerging as the winner and GRMC Gwalior as the runner-up. The winning team will now represent the Central Zone at the 62nd National Pediatrics Conference, to be held in Hyderabad.

Director Singh congratulated the winning team and highlighted the significance of the event. He remarked, “This quiz is not just a test of knowledge but a platform for young physicians to showcase their skills and deepen their understanding of pediatric care. Such events foster collaboration and innovation within the medical community.”

The quiz was conducted by Shweta Anand, with Pankaj Shukla and Bhavna Dhingra serving as judges. Directors Priya Gogia and Dr. Harshita played crucial roles in organizing the event.

The program saw an attendance of over 50 participants, including faculty and resident doctors from AIIMS and other medical colleges in Bhopal, as well as pediatricians from the city.
