CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Bhopal Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), CIRC, today successfully organised a grand convocation ceremony for the newly qualified chartered accountants of the May 2026 batch at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Minto Hall, Bhopal. The ceremony was marked by enthusiasm, pride and inspiration, with newly qualified chartered accountants and their family members participating in large numbers.
Around 56 newly qualified chartered accountants were felicitated in the presence of their proud parents and family members. Two All India rank holders were also specially honoured on the occasion. During the programme, all new CAs were administered an oath to uphold dedication, honesty, ethics and excellence in the profession.
The chief guest at the programme was IAS Manu Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh, New and Renewable Energy Department, and Commissioner, New and Renewable Energy, Madhya Pradesh. In his inspirational address, he urged the new chartered accountants to play an active role in nation-building and to give the highest priority to transparency, honesty and ethical values in their professional lives. CA Abhay Chhajed, Central Council Member and convocation coordinator, was specially present at the ceremony.
The formal inauguration of the convocation ceremony was conducted through video conferencing by ICAI President CA Prasanna Kumar D. and Vice-President CA Mangesh P. Kinare. In their messages, both office-bearers extended best wishes to the newly qualified chartered accountants for a bright future and encouraged them to uphold the prestige and dignity of the Indian chartered accountancy profession at the global level.
The programme was chaired by the office-bearers of the ICAI Bhopal Branch. Prominent among those present were CA Aditya P. Shrivastava, Chairman, ICAI Bhopal Branch; CA Pradeep Mutreja, Vice-Chairman; CA Abhishek Jain, Secretary; CA Nandan Narula, Treasurer; CA Piyush Chatar, Chairman; CA Suchita Goyal, Branch Executive Member; former branch chairman CA Arpit Rai; senior chartered accountants, branch office-bearers and distinguished guests. This special convocation ceremony was live-streamed simultaneously in 23 cities across the country, making the event broader and more impactful. Speakers at the programme inspired young professionals to contribute actively to the development of society and the nation through their knowledge, skills and ethical values.
At the end of the ceremony, the ICAI Bhopal Branch expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, parents and supporters, whose cooperation and participation made the event highly successful and memorable.
