CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) held a press conference to share the success of its two-day national conference “Navdrishti – Exploring New Horizons Together”, which took place at Courtyard by Marriott, Bhopal.

More than 600 chartered accountants participated in the conference, reflecting the strength and unity of the profession in the state. The event featured six technical sessions where eminent speakers shared their insights on key topics:

CA Kapil Goyal discussed recent judicial rulings in income tax, emphasizing the need to stay updated with evolving case laws and avoid litigation.

CA Arpit Kabra (Central Council Member) spoke on digital assurance for MSMEs, highlighting the role of technology-driven audits in strengthening transparency and trust.

CA Ashok Batra addressed issues related to the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), shedding light on practical challenges and required reforms.

CA Girish Ahuja explained the formation and taxation of private trusts, offering clarity on family trust structures and their tax implications.

CA Pankaj Shah guided on real estate and succession planning, focusing on tax, legal aspects, and the importance of maintaining family balance.

Former ICAI President CA Aniket Talati spoke about opportunities in Global Capability Centers (GCCs), explaining how Indian chartered accountants can lead in global finance, compliance, and business support hubs.

The sessions were conducted under the leadership of CA Abhay Chhajed, Program Director and Central Council Member, who ensured the sessions were meaningful, technically in-depth, and high in quality.

Bhopal Branch Chairman CA Arpit Rai said, “Navdrishti is a historic initiative for us. The participation of 600+ members shows that chartered accountants are committed to leading in knowledge, technology, and global opportunities.”

At the conclusion of the press briefing, special appreciation was extended to ICAI President CA Nanda for his visionary leadership. Under the “Trusted ICAI” initiative, he has taken significant steps to promote digitalization within the institute, equip members with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and enhance trust at the global level.

A remarkable moment came when members of the Bhopal branch collectively contributed ₹11,00,000/- (eleven lakh rupees) to the CA Benevolent Fund, handing over the cheque to the ICAI President.

Finally, CA Abhay Chhajed, as Central Council Member and Program Director, received special thanks for his decisive role in conceptualizing and successfully executing the conference.

The two-day national conference concluded with renewed enthusiasm, a collective resolve, and a shared vision – “Exploring New Horizons Together.”
