CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : The closing ceremony of the “Guidance Orientation” program for newly appointed technical employees at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) was jointly organized by the Quality Council of India and Manav Rachna University at BMHRC, Bhopal.

During the ceremony, Jagdish Rajesh, Deputy Director General (Administration), ICMR, emphasized that guidance is essential to progress in every field of life. He highlighted that the main objective of this program is to develop administrative skills, finance, scientific leadership, quality, and project management among newly appointed technical staff of ICMR. He also noted that the skill enhancement training sessions, which have been ongoing for the past nine months, are being widely appreciated. Following ICMR’s initiative, many other institutions are now considering similar training programs, as they prove beneficial for both personal and professional growth.

Dr. Manisha Srivastava, In-charge Director of BMHRC, remarked that life itself is the greatest teacher, full of ups and downs. She stated that even if one individual walks on the path of duty with positive intent, the nation can change. She expressed confidence that the new employees from ICMR institutes across India must have had a profound learning experience through this workshop, which fostered participation, leadership, harmony, and teamwork.
Dr. Deepti Dabas Hazarika, Dean of Manav Rachna University, New Delhi, stressed the importance of such programs for holistic employee development. She explained that guidance means walking on the right path and that the right way of living is to live a quality life. She also added that participants must have learned practical lessons essential for career advancement.

S. Sharma, Joint Director, Quality Council of India, noted that in the past nine months, ICMR has provided practical training to 290 employees across nine batches. He described this as a true innovation and affirmed that the energy and knowledge participants gained during the 21-day sessions would remain with them forever. The program covered capacity building, knowledge, skills, and behavior. He praised the trainers for awakening the inner potential of participants, comparing them to the role of Jamwant in inspiring others. He concluded by saying that while problems exist everywhere, the key lies in becoming part of the solution.
