CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The people of Jammu and Kashmir must ensure BJP’s victory in assembly elections to bring back Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) into the Indian Union, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday at an election rally in Jammu’s Ramnagar, Vijaypur.

“You have to make sure BJP wins the ongoing assembly polls with a huge majority,’’ he said. “If we win, POK will soon become part of India.”

Yogi also said the election results would rebuke the National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress.

In the 90s, these parties supported Pakistan and terrorism, he added.

“Now, after Prime Minister Modi has eliminated terrorism in J&K, they are again advocating for its revival,” he said.

Taking a dig at Pakistan, Yogi said, “Pakistan is falling apart. A kilogram of flour there costs Rs 500,” he said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides free rations to 80 crore people in India and free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, increased to Rs 7 lakh, for 60 crore people.

“Pakistan is a sinking ship,” he said.

While addressing the rally, Yogi highlighted Modi’s achievements, mentioning the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor. “J&K is now recognised as the “tourism capital” rather than the “terrorism capital,” he said.

He said Amarnath Yatra once faced threats, but now devotees are coming from all over India with the slogan ‘Bam Bam Bhole,’ spreading the spirit of Lord Shiva across the country. “Lakhs of people are also visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine,” he said.

He also accused the Congress, NC and PDP of ruining J&K for 70 years.
