CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The process of filling examination forms for the December 2026 term-end examination conducted by Indira Gandhi National Open University has begun. The December 2026 term-end examination for students of open and distance learning and online programmes will begin on November 25, 2026.
For eligible students studying under IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhopal, the normal last date for filling examination forms for theory subjects has been set as September 30, 2026. After this, students can fill the examination form with a late fee until October 15, 2026. Students have been appealed to fill their examination forms on time without waiting for the last date.
Separate arrangement for project, internship and practical courses: From the December 2026 term-end examination, a separate arrangement has been made for filling examination forms for project, internship and practical courses. Students whose programmes include such courses must fill separate examination forms for the relevant courses through the Samarth portal.
The last date for filling examination forms for these courses has been set as November 30, 2026. After this date, examination forms for project, internship and practical courses will not be accepted. The online facility related to project submission and practical examinations has also been made available.
Examination forms must be filled through the Samarth Student Portal: Students will have to fill the examination form through the Samarth Student Portal. Students who have not yet registered on the student portal should first register through new registration and then fill the examination form.
While filling the examination form, students have been advised to carefully select the examination mode, course and examination centre. Before filling the examination form, students have also been advised to check the result of the June 2026 term-end examination and carefully read the detailed guidelines available on the Samarth portal. The examination fee once submitted will not be refunded. Requests arising from date clashes due to courses in the same group or pending courses will not be considered as per the university’s prescribed rules.
Arrangements for 16 examination centres in various districts: Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhopal, said that 16 examination centres have been arranged keeping in mind the convenience of students from various districts under the regional centre. Term-end examinations will be conducted at various places including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Shivpuri, Mhow and Khandwa. The Regional Centre, Bhopal, has also set up examination centres in four central jails in Bhopal, Ujjain, Narmadapuram and Indore. Through these centres, prisoner students enrolled with IGNOU are being provided the facility to appear for their term-end examinations smoothly.
Students of practical and laboratory courses and the Bachelor of Library and Information Science programme will be informed separately by the Regional Centre, Bhopal, about the venue and schedule of the practical examination.
