CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched numerous new courses for the July 2024 session, including MBAs in Healthcare and Hospital Management, Agribusiness, Construction, and Logistic and Supply Chain Management. The admission process for the July 2024 session is entirely online. Interested students can easily upload their certificates and pay the fees digitally “anytime, anywhere” to gain admission. IGNOU is offering approximately 337 courses in the July session, and detailed information can be found in the general prospectus available on the IGNOU website.

Dr. Bini Tom, Senior Regional Director of Bhopal, stated that the MBA course in Healthcare and Hospital Management is crucial for developing skilled personnel in the healthcare management sector. This course will provide practical and hands-on knowledge about the technologies, innovations, and emerging challenges in healthcare administration at both national and international levels. Additionally, youth will have the opportunity to pursue MBAs in fields like Agribusiness, Logistic and Supply Chain Management, and Construction Management, opening new employment horizons. Graduates from any discipline can directly enroll in the Healthcare and Hospital Management and Agribusiness courses, while those with B.Sc., B.Tech., or B.E. can enroll in Logistic and Supply Chain Management and Construction Management courses.

Dr. Tom mentioned that, as per the provisions of the National Education Policy 2020, IGNOU offers academic courses in various fields and disciplines for skill development and knowledge expansion for youth and other learners. Through dual degrees, students can have multiple options for career building.

Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, the Deputy Director, informed that at the undergraduate level, IGNOU offers courses in 19 subjects, including 2 multidisciplinary and 17 honors degrees, and general undergraduate courses in 26 subjects. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to choose from multiple subjects and study foundational courses, which will facilitate their participation in competitive exams after graduation. At the postgraduate level, 77 courses are being offered, including Sanskrit, Urdu, Astrology, Vedic Studies, Journalism, Gender Studies, Rural Development, Anthropology, Counseling, Professional Writing in Hindi, Renewable Energy and Environment, Arabic, and Russian language among others. Additionally, there are 86 Post Graduate Diploma courses, 14 Post Graduate Certificate courses, 29 Diploma courses, and 81 six-month Certificate courses available in the July session.
