CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited online applications for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, postgraduate diploma, and certificate programs for the July 2025 session. Interested candidates can apply through the https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in portal by 31st July 2025.

Currently, IGNOU offers 78 postgraduate programs, 26 four-year undergraduate programs, 22 honors and general undergraduate programs, 66 postgraduate diplomas, 14 postgraduate certificate programs, 28 diploma programs, 76 certificate programs, and 44 online courses.

According to Umesh Chandra Pandey, Senior Regional Director (Bhopal Regional Centre), all IGNOU programs are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to provide students with quality education, skill development, and new livelihood opportunities.

Under IGNOU’s course-wise registration and certification scheme, students can register in over 1500 courses up to a maximum of 16 credits and will be awarded a certificate upon completion.

To connect youth with India’s traditional knowledge systems, IGNOU offers a course on “Bhagavad Gita Studies”, which aims to develop moral values, leadership qualities, and life skills.

Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, Additional Director, shared that IGNOU also provides certificate programs in foreign languages such as French, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, and German. These courses are designed to prepare students for global careers, based on standards like the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are taught bilingually.
