CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for the Postgraduate MBA Program for the July 2025 session. This program is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and aims to develop essential skills in the fields of management and business. Designed by leading management experts in the country, the curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of modern industries, making it highly relevant from a professional standpoint.
In this context, Umesh Chandra Pandey, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Centre Bhopal, stated that the MBA program is especially beneficial for students who wish to gain management expertise after earning a bachelor’s degree in any field and want to give a new direction to their careers. The program is suitable for both recent graduates and working professionals.
The IGNOU MBA program comprises a total of 28 courses (116 credits), which include 20 core courses, 7 specialization courses, and 1 project course. Students can choose to specialize in areas such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Operations Management, Marketing Management, and Services Management. In addition, specialized MBA programs are also offered, including:
MBA in Banking and Finance (MBF)
MBA in Human Resource Management (MBAHM)
MBA in Financial Management (MBAFM)
MBA in Operations Management (MBAOM)
MBA in Marketing Management (MBAMM)
The IGNOU MBA program is now available in Hindi as well as English. The minimum eligibility for admission is a three-year undergraduate degree, with at least 50% marks for the general category and 45% for reserved category candidates.
Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, Additional Director, noted that IGNOU’s MBA program enhances professional skills while expanding access to quality education. These programs are designed by eminent scholars in management, keeping in mind the latest industry requirements and contemporary needs. The program will significantly benefit general graduates and working professionals in upgrading their skills.
A multiple exit option is provided in these courses. If a student completes the first two semesters (56 credits) and wishes to exit the program, they will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM).
