CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “The end-of-term exams for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the June session have commenced and will conclude on July 15, 2024. These exams, spanning 32 days, are being conducted for undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, diploma, and PG diploma courses. The exams will be held in two shifts: the first shift from 10 AM to 1 PM and the second shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Providing this information, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Centre Bhopal, Bini Toms, mentioned that the June end-term exams are being conducted at 19 exam centers under the Bhopal Regional Centre, where approximately 6,000 candidates will appear for 1,616 courses across 232 programs of IGNOU. Four exam centers have also been set up in Ujjain, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, and Bhopal Central Jail to facilitate imprisoned students enrolled in IGNOU. In Bhopal, the IGNOU exams will be held at IGNOU Study Centre Motilal Nehru Science College, Career College, and Barkatullah University Bhopal, with the highest number of students, around 8,575, appearing in both shifts at Motilal Nehru Science College, Bhopal. Additionally, IGNOU exams will be conducted in Indore, Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain, Vidisha, Jhabua, Shivpuri, Mhow, Khandwa, and Hoshangabad. Written practical exams for the Library Science course will be held in Bhopal and Gwalior, and BCA/MCA and other computer-related practical exams will be organized separately, with notification to be issued soon. The Regional Director also mentioned that all exam superintendents have been oriented by the regional center to conduct the exams smoothly, and all necessary guidelines have been issued.

Deputy Director Anshuman Upadhyay stated that the exam admit cards for all eligible candidates have been uploaded on IGNOU’s website www.ignou.ac.in, which candidates can download. All candidates must bring their IGNOU-issued ID cards to the exam center. If a candidate does not have a valid ID issued by IGNOU, they can enter the exam hall by showing any valid photo ID issued by a government institution. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the exam without a photo ID. Detailed instructions have been provided in the hall ticket issued by IGNOU, and all candidates are requested to read all instructions carefully. Dr. Upadhyay also mentioned that all exam center heads have been instructed to continuously inform candidates during the exams that they must write the exam in the same language in which the course is being conducted by the university, although candidates are free to answer in Hindi.

No candidate will be allowed to bring mobile phones or other digital devices into the exam hall during the exams.”
