CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Internalising the inspirational message, “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self,” the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal enthusiastically participated in the global celebration of the 12th International Yoga Day today. The programme was held at the Sports Arena of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal.

A large number of students, faculty members, officers and staff of the institute took part in the programme and collectively practiced various yogasanas and pranayama. The yoga session was conducted under the guidance of a certified yoga trainer, who informed participants about the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga.

On the occasion, participants practiced Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana and Trikonasana, along with pranayama exercises such as Anulom-Vilom, Kapalbhati and Bhramari. The yoga trainer said regular yoga practice not only improves physical health, but also helps reduce mental stress, increase concentration and adopt a positive lifestyle.

IIIT Bhopal Marks 12th International Yoga Day With Yoga Practice

During the programme, all participants resolved to make yoga an integral part of their daily lives and to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The participation organised by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal strongly reflects the spirit of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” and is an important initiative towards spreading the message of health, awareness and collective well-being in society.
