CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Third Convocation Ceremony of IIIT Bhopal, an institute of national importance, will be held on the 8th of this month. During this ceremony, students who graduated in 2024 will be awarded the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree by the institute.

The Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, will grace the event as the Chief Guest. Additionally, the ceremony will be attended by Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, and Prof. Dharmendra Singh, Director of IIIT Vadodara, as Guest of Honor. The event will also feature Sudhir K. Mishra, Former Chairman of DRDO, and S.M. Ramnathan, Executive Director of BHEL Bhopal, as Distinguished Guests. Their esteemed presence will enhance the grandeur of the occasion and make it a memorable experience for all attendees.

Special Highlights of the Ceremony

The Director of IIIT Bhopal and Chief Organizer of the Ceremony, Ashutosh Kumar Singh, shared that the Gold and Silver medals will be awarded to students securing the first and second ranks in each department based on GGPA. Additionally, the student securing the highest rank across all three departments will be honored with the Overall Gold Medal.

IIIT Bhopal has always embraced emerging trends in technology, and for this convocation, the institute will award degrees using Blockchain Technology. This ensures that graduates have a digitally secured copy of their degree, aligning with the Government of India’s ‘Digital India’ initiative.

In a special initiative, IIIT Bhopal will also strengthen its alumni network by providing graduates with a special Alumni ID Card, fostering lifelong connections with the institute.
