CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On October 4, 2025, the Fourth Degree Distribution Ceremony (Convocation) of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhopal was held in the Civil Auditorium. During this event, 182 students from the Class of 2025 in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Electronics & Communication Engineering were awarded their B.Tech degrees — 47 from ECE, 66 from IT, and 69 from CSE.
Based on GGPA, the top two students in each department were awarded gold and silver medals.

The ceremony began with lighting of lamps and Saraswati Vandana by the chief guests. Following this, Director of Triple IT Bhopal, Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, addressed the students and guests, highlighting the recent achievements of the institute. He mentioned the allocation of new campus land for the development of state-of-the-art laboratories.
Prof. Singh praised the students’ success in national-level competitions and shared that the college is conducting research in AI and semiconductor technology, offering students advanced technical experience while contributing to national scientific development.

Next, students who secured first and second positions in their respective branches were awarded medals. In ECE, Kundan Kumar Gupta received the silver medal; in IT, Ziya Rathore; in CSE, Ishan Kumar. Gold medals were awarded to Gaurav Mahesh (ECE), Manjeet Pathak (IT), and Pranjal Dubey (CSE). Pranjal Dubey, who achieved the highest marks overall, was awarded an additional gold medal. Following this, all students were conferred their degrees and collectively pledged to serve society and the nation, a historic moment of the ceremony.

Honorable guest Prof. S.S. Bhadauria, Director UID RGPV, delivered a speech, calling the current era the “Age of Information Technology and Infinite Possibilities”, emphasizing that innovation and technology empower individuals to achieve their dreams, and that youth who channel this power positively will be the builders of future India.
Following him, Sujit Mahapatro, Director of Valeo, lauded the students’ dedication and achievements, describing the occasion as the beginning of a new era, noting that success is defined by self-satisfaction rather than a fixed standard.

Prof. S.N. Singh, Director of Triple IT Gwalior, congratulated all students, encouraging them to think with a new perspective and offered guidance for future endeavors.
Administrative Council Chair Kavita Khanna addressed students and guests, motivating students to move forward and pursue excellence.
The Chief Guest, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, first expressed his gratitude to everyone and encouraged students with the phrase “Tempo high hai.” He highlighted the importance of remembering the guidance of family, teachers, and society, stating that the degree marks only the beginning, and the real time to prove oneself is now.

He cited examples of renowned personalities like Mark Zuckerberg, Michelle Dell, and Steve Jobs, who achieved success without formal degrees, emphasizing that a degree is merely a good start. Real value lies in one’s actions and continuous learning, and he stressed the importance of lifelong education, skill enhancement, and practical experience. He also referenced the philosophy mentioned in Shiv Khera’s book — a person is the result of their experiences, education, and environment.

He further explained the distinction between learning and practical application, which becomes clear only through real-world work experience. He appreciated the efforts of Mr. Jain, acknowledging their contribution toward India’s rapid development and the vision for a developed India by 2047. He expressed pride in being part of this convocation and described true knowledge as arising from society and community, where diverse skills and experiences contribute collectively. He concluded with the proverb: “Standing on the shoulders of giants,” signifying that small contributions collectively achieve great outcomes.
The event concluded with formal thanks to all participants by Prof. Ashutosh Singh, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of the convocation ceremony.
