CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The February meeting of the Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) was held at the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) in Bhopal. IMPCC Chairman and Additional Director General of PIB Bhopal, Prashant Pathrabe, stated that PIB Bhopal organized a press tour for journalists from Bhopal and Raipur to Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
During the press tour, journalists had the opportunity to explore various aspects of the fair, understand the railway train operations, and visit the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He further mentioned that on February 8, 2025, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, addressed a press conference at the Doordarshan Centre, organized by PIB Bhopal.
Additionally, PIB Bhopal effectively publicized programs such as the Economic Survey, Union Budget, and Pariksha Pe Charcha. PIB Assistant Director Ajay Upadhyay presented a special presentation on the Prayagraj Mahakumbh press tour. Pathrabe urged students from MANIT, IIFM, and IISER Bhopal to download Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform WAVES.
Addressing the program, KVIC Bhopal’s State Director-in-Charge, Vineet Verma, emphasized that employment generation is KVIC’s tagline. He elaborated on KVIC’s working methodology through a presentation, highlighting the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), a credit-linked subsidy scheme, with KVIC as the nodal agency. He detailed eligibility criteria, application procedures, required documents, and beneficiary selection processes. Additionally, he provided insights into the Village Industries Development Scheme, incense stick industry, Honey Mission Program, and Village Industries Oil sector.
The event witnessed participation from DD News and Akashvani News Director Pooja P. Vardhan, ASI Director Manoj Kumar Kurmi, CIAE Director M.K. Tripathi, IIFM’s Mihir Kasera, IGNOU Director Anshuman Upadhyay, AMPRI Bhopal Director Deepti Mishra, and various representatives from central government departments in Bhopal, who shared their departmental activities.
