CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Guddu Raja Bundela, the Congress candidate from the Sagar Lok Sabha constituency, met with District Collector Deepak Arya today to discuss the ongoing issues related to various schemes and programs, including the shifting of the bus stand and the Gaur statue.
During his meeting with Collector Deepak Arya, Guddu Raja Bundela emphasized that in a democracy, it is the moral responsibility of the government and administration to act according to the sentiments of the people. However, for a long time, it has been observed that several decisions at the government and administrative levels have increased the difficulties for the common people rather than benefiting them.
Congress leader Guddu Raja Bundela told the Collector that the decisions to completely close the old bus stand and shift it to a new location, as well as to remove Dr. Harisingh Gaur’s statue from the Civil Lines intersection, have been met with displeasure and anger among the public. Additionally, delays and lack of quality in the work on the sewage plant, AMRUT scheme, and road repairs and renovations have continuously troubled the city’s residents.
He urged Collector Deepak Arya to take strict measures to keep the old bus stand operational, to reinstall Dr. Harisingh Gaur’s statue at the Civil Lines intersection, and to eliminate delays and maintain the quality of construction and development works. The Collector assured him that developing the city and the entire district is the responsibility of the government and administration. No action will be taken against the sentiments of the people, and strict instructions and penalties will be given to the agencies causing issues.
