CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival in the South-West Assembly constituency of Bhopal, local sisters tied the sacred thread (Rakhi) to their popular MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani at Manas Bhavan, wishing him long life, happiness, and prosperity. Hundreds of sisters, dressed in traditional attire and carrying ceremonial plates, performed the ritual with chants, strengthening the sacred bond of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Addressing the sisters, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani expressed his gratitude for receiving blessings from such a large gathering. He assured that he would work diligently to ensure a safe environment and promote development in the constituency. He also appreciated Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s efforts for women empowerment, emphasizing the crucial role of women’s participation in the progress of the state.

Sabnani further appealed to the sisters to actively participate in the Tricolor March scheduled on 14th August at 12 PM, which will also be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and State President Hemant Khandelwal. The march will commence from Shaurya Smarak and conclude with a grand aarti at Bharat Mata Chowraha.

He also urged them to take part in the tree plantation program on 17th August near Bhadbhada Chowki to make the area greener. The event saw participation from District General Secretary Kamakshi Vishwakarma, several councilors, and hundreds of women. This vibrant celebration by the sisters strengthened social unity and the spirit of brotherhood in the constituency.
