CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: LNCT College, Bhopal, inaugurated the grand commencement of the 7th Engineers Olympics. On the occasion of the program’s inauguration, the newly constructed basketball court was inaugurated by the Secretary of LNCT Group, Mr. Anupam Choukse, and the ribbon was cut by Ashok Rai, Dean Administration, LNCT, Shivaji Nagar. During this event, Pankaj Jain, Sports Officer LNCT, Dr. Sunil Singh OSD LNCT, Mukesh Narola IT Head, were present. Dr. Anupam Choukse, Secretary of the LNCT Group, celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake among all the players.

This three-day event includes the organization of 15 sports. These include volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, kho-kho, chess, table tennis, tennis ball cricket, street cricket, Chinese checkers, weightlifting, athletics, tug of war, badminton, etc. Various colleges from Bhopal are participating, with over 2000 players involved. In the competitions held on the first day, LNCT’s Shubham Malviya emerged as the winner in shot put in athletics, and Abhay Sharma from Excel College secured the second position.

In the women’s kabaddi category, Sarojini Naidu College defeated Scope Global Skill with a score of 40-11 to begin their campaign with a victory. In the women’s basketball match, Daiiconic started with a win by defeating Excellence with a score of 33-13.

In the men’s futsal category, LNCT defeated Striker FC 3-0, BSS defeated United 2-0, and JL Yu defeated T I T 4-0 to advance to the next round.

In the men’s singles badminton competition, Anurag defeated Aditya 2-0, Vinayak defeated Naman 2-1, and Umang defeated Gagan 2-0 to start with a win.

In the men’s volleyball competition, Siddharth Gandhi Nagar defeated SV Polytechnic 2-1, Ratanpur defeated Concess 2-0, Rakshit defeated LNCT Barriers 2-1, Sem defeated Parth 2-1, and New Boy’s Hostel defeated Tevel Bed 20-0 to advance to the next round.

In street cricket, Nikunj started with a win by defeating Young Warriors by 2 wickets. Young Warriors scored 49 runs, losing all wickets in the allotted 6 overs while batting first. In response, Nikunj achieved the target, losing 4 wickets in 5 overs.
