Voting has already taken place in the first phase in Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Chhindwara, while voting for the second phase has occurred in Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad, and Betul.

The decision of victory and defeat for the candidates has been sealed in ballot boxes after the first and second phases of voting, but there are still two phases of voting left in Madhya Pradesh. On May 7, the third phase of voting will take place in Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, and Rajgarh. For the voting in the third phase, the BJP has deployed workers from across the state to the Gwalior-Chambal region. A unique arrangement of 370-plus votes per polling booth has been devised by the party’s strategists.

Meetings of star campaigners of the party are taking place in the Gwalior-Chambal region. Meanwhile, on Friday, BJP’s star campaigner and senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia also put in efforts to win the party in the Gwalior-Chambal region. The Bhind-Datia Lok Sabha seat has been in BJP’s favor for the last two decades, and BJP has fielded Sandhya Rai as its candidate from Gormi in the Mehgaon Assembly constituency in electoral support of Scindia. Minister Rakesh Shukla, the new and innovative Energy Minister of the Madhya Pradesh government, presented Scindia with a mace of Hanuman during his electoral address, saying that Maharaj has taken time out of his busy schedule to come for the Bhind Lok Sabha.
