CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Kirar Dhakad Bhavan by the Bhopal Kirar Dhakad Kshatriya Samaj Trust was held with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event stood as a remarkable example of the community’s unity, progress, and dedication. It took place at the Trust building premises, 12 Dafter, Jawahar Chowk, Bhopal.

The ceremony was presided over by Trust Chairman Shankar Singh Chauhan. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended as the Chief Guest, lighting the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the event and cutting the ribbon to open the building.

In his address, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “The Kirar community is no longer limited to agriculture; it is now taking a leading role in education, social service, and women empowerment. Children from our community are becoming IAS, IPS officers, doctors, engineers, and architects.”

Construction of the building began with a foundation ceremony in 2009. Spanning a total area of 5,000 sq ft, the ground floor includes a grand assembly hall, multipurpose room, bathrooms, and toilets. The first floor features four guest rooms and a large auditorium. The total cost of construction was ₹60 lakhs, out of which ₹33 lakhs came from government support, and the rest was contributed by the community.

Future plans include setting up a skill development center, training for women, career guidance, and health camps. The program was anchored by Surjit Singh Chauhan, and the vote of thanks was delivered by K.L. Patel.

The event saw the presence of senior community members, former MLAs, national office bearers, youth leaders, women members, and a large gathering of community members. ACP (Crime Branch) Mr. Shailendra Chauhan and Ms. Madhu Chaudhary were specially honored.

The ceremony concluded with a commitment to make this building a new hub of unity, dialogue, and development for the community.
