CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Brotherhood Day, BSNL’s 4G mobile tower was inaugurated at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.G. Suresh. Prof. Suresh remarked that with the installation of the mobile tower, connectivity in the Makhannpuram campus would significantly improve, benefiting researchers, students, and staff. The event was attended by Registrar Prof. Avinash Vajpeyi, BSNL General Manager Mahendra Singh, DGM Avinash Singh, AGM Dheeraj Singh, and other staff members. Last year, a Jio tower was also installed on the university campus.

In addition, a program was jointly organized by MCU and the Vivekananda Kendra Bhopal branch to celebrate World Brotherhood Day. The event, held at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, was presided over by Prof. Suresh, with Amitabh Srivastava, Co-City Head of the Vivekananda Kendra, as the chief speaker, and Prof. Monika Verma, Head of the Electronic Media Department, as the guest speaker.

On this occasion, the quarterly magazine “Synopsis,” from the Department of Communication Research, was also released. In his address, Prof. Suresh mentioned that his life was transformed after studying the literature of Swami Vivekananda during his early years. He described Vivekananda as a revolutionary thinker, emphasizing that he transcended politics. Prof. Suresh encouraged students to study Vivekananda’s writings.

Chief speaker Amitabh Srivastava stated that no one is a greater hero than Swami Vivekananda. He urged students to make Swami Vivekananda, Subhash Chandra Bose, or Bhagat Singh their heroes. He added that a single idea, if firmly established in one’s heart, could change one’s life. Srivastava encouraged students to adopt at least one idea and dedicate their lives to it.

Guest speaker Dr. Monika Verma, Head of the Electronic Media Department, referred to Swami Vivekananda as a man of the era and emphasized learning patriotism and the qualities of success from him. Prof. Verma highlighted ten key teachings of Swami Vivekananda and urged students to follow these principles in their lives.
