CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, inaugurated a two-day workshop on “Stoma Care” today. The workshop was organized by the Department of General Surgery. In his opening speech, Dr. Singh emphasized the significance of the workshop, stating, “The Stoma Care Workshop is a great opportunity for health professionals to learn the fundamentals of stoma care. The practical experience provided during the workshop will help participants to be better equipped for future surgical procedures.” Dr. Singh urged the faculty of the General Surgery Department to take a leading role in stoma care research and patient care, highlighting the importance of continuous education and skill development in enhancing patient outcomes.
Approximately 50 participants, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, are attending the workshop. They will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and expertise in stoma care. The practical training sessions are designed to provide participants with real-world experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
AIIMS Bhopal plans to organize similar workshops in the future, which will play an important role in promoting continuous learning and skill development in the medical field.
