CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Income Tax Department organised the 20th Rozgar Mela at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, under the Government of India’s nationwide campaign to provide employment to youth. At the programme, appointment letters were handed over by dignitaries to a total of 213 newly appointed candidates selected in various ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India.
Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur attended the programme as the chief guest, while Indore MP Shankar Lalwani was present as the special guest. Mona Mohanty, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh), Tarun Seem, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Indore, and Praveen Rawal, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Indore, were also present on the occasion. Senior officials from the Income Tax Department and various ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India, along with the newly appointed candidates and their family members, took part in the grand event.
Praveen Rawal, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Indore, congratulated the newly appointed candidates and highlighted their role in building a developed India. He called upon the new employees to work with dedication and honesty, discharge every responsibility with accountability and always keep the spirit of “Nation First” above all.
Savitri Thakur congratulated the newly appointed candidates and their family members and highlighted various schemes being run by the government for the welfare of youth, women and children. She said the Rozgar Mela reflects the government’s commitment to providing transparent and merit-based employment. She urged the new employees to serve the public with dedication and integrity and to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society.
Addressing Rozgar Melas held across the country online, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined the important role of youth in nation-building. He said the entire world today has great expectations from India’s innovators, entrepreneurs and youth. The Prime Minister said the newly appointed employees are joining public service at a crucial time when India is moving firmly towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Motivating the newly appointed employees, the Prime Minister said they should view every file and every decision from the perspective of supporting the aspirations of youth. He said continuous reforms in taxation, compliance, education and ease of doing business are accelerating India’s economic progress. He called upon the new employees to take decisions that help remove obstacles in the path of young innovators and entrepreneurs. The Rozgar Mela is being organised in line with the Prime Minister’s commitment to giving top priority to employment generation.
