CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Honorable Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw has launched new train services from Sahibganj to enhance rail connectivity and drive development in Jharkhand and West Bengal. In the presence of Member of Parliament from Godda, Shri Nishikant Dubey, the Railway Minister flagged off the Sahibganj-Howrah Intercity Express via video conferencing. This new train service will simplify and facilitate travel between Sahibganj and Howrah, creating new opportunities for employment and business in the region. This train will not only boost commercial activities but also bring new recognition to the cultural heritage and tourism of Jharkhand.

Additionally, the Anand Vihar-Agartala Rajdhani Express was flagged off, with a stop added at Sahibganj station, thereby strengthening direct connectivity between Sahibganj and Delhi, Tripura, Assam, and other northeastern states. This service is expected to elevate both commercial and tourism activities to new heights. The introduction of these new train services will also promote tourism in the region, providing a unique opportunity to showcase its rich cultural heritage while connecting Sahibganj traders to larger markets.
